Much of Renee
Guenette's life has been devoted to children, both personally and
professionally. Renee has earned a B.A. Degree and a PD/AD in the
Faculty of Education from the University of Alberta. She majored in
French and minored in English, specializing in Education at the
elementary level. Renee has enjoyed a successful thirty year career in
teaching, with experiences ranging from grades one to eight in eleven
different school settings. In her personal life, Renee has had the joy
of raising two wonderful boys with her husband Loren.
Challenging her belief systems early on in life has
brought Renee on a personal quest to try and understand who she is and
why she is on this earth. She has delved deeply into the field of
metaphysics, reading intensely on the subject. Renee has also taken
university courses on Eastern and Western religions taking particular
interest in discovering the similarities and differences within these.
The many years of personal research has helped Renee to form her new
belief patterns. Renee has also received two degrees in Reiki, a method
of natural healing using universal life energy.
Recently, Renee has co-authored the book,
Life in a nutshell, with her
husband Loren. In it, they present a process by which people can take
responsibility for spiritual evolution and growth outside of any
structured religion. She is presently a member of the Alberta Writers
Guild. Renee presently resides with her husband in
Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
